In 2011 IOI - USA plans to offer a course in Media and Outreach.

On the USF campus is the world famous Poynter Institute, one of the most renowned media institutes in the world.  In addition USF has an excellent Journalism program.

Drawing on these resources and utilizing the talents of professional media on the IOI - USA team, this course will help participants develop media contacts, nurture media relations, and develop effective media strategies for responsible management of the oceans.
